03|12 West Point Society of North Texas is hosting a Founders Day Dinner Event. On March 16, 1802 Thomas Jefferson signed the document that founded the United States Military Academy. It read, “that the said corps, when so organized, shall be stationed at West Point in the state of New York and shall constitute a military academy.” Every year West Point celebrates Founders Day with events held all over the world throughout the month of March. Parents of current cadets and grad parents are welcome to attend. There will be a Benny Havens happy hour, followed by a Founder's Day ceremony, a dinner, a guest speaker, and a concert.
The guest speaker is Bridget Altenburg (USMA 1995), CEO of The National Able Network and board member of Allied Airlift 21. She will give us some insight into the Afghan Refugee Support effort from West Point Grads
The concert is put on by West Texas native and USMA 2012 grad Chuck Breseno's band

04|TBD WPPCNTX Virtual Toast the Firsties 7:30-8:30pm In this members-only event we'll bid farewell to our Firstie parents and provide them with an opportunity to hear from an Army Colonel and Command Sergeant Major about what life has in store for their soon-to-be Second Lieutenants. You may find it helpful to attend both sessions to hear the questions.
05|TBD WPPCNTX Virtual Talk with a Plebe 3:00-4:00pm This event is for 2026 Cadet Candidates and USMAPs only. This is a great chance to ask questions of USMA 2025 cadets who have successfully navigated USMAPS, R-Day, Beast, and their Plebe year at West Point. Invite will be sent via email.

05|TBD Carry the Load Memorial March This event brings awareness to the True Meaning of Memorial Day. Funds raised during Memorial May provide direct support for the healing of the mind, body, and soul of our nation's Military, Veterans, First Responder's and their families.

06|TBD WPPCNTX Ice Cream Social for 2026 & USMAPS Open to members and non-members this fun session is a chance for parents and cadet candidates to hear some final words of wisdom from USMA parents and grads, and meet their classmates. We'll even have the opportunity for cadet candidates to speak directly with current USMA cadets. The event will be held outdoors and will allow us to meet each other and socially distance safely. What happens during Reorganization Week, A-Day, and the start of the Academic Year
Who is the TAC and when you should (or should not) contact them
An opportunity for parents to ask questions and for us to hear some stories about your cadet's Beast or summer training experience!
07|TBD Club Social Event - no formal presentations - this is purely a social event! We'll meet at a DFW location and at a Central Texas location for some food and fellowship among our parents. You can order what you'd like off the menu and introduce yourself to other parents. Suggested dress - casual! A great time to break out your West Point gear and your Texas nametag. Exact locations will be released a few days before the event.

08|TBD North Texas Service Academy Day This informational event will provide interested students from grades eight through twelve an opportunity to become educated regarding our nation's service academies, their requirements for admission, and the selection process.
09|TBD at 7:30pm - WPPCNTX Club Virtual Meeting during this call, we'll provide you with some insight into the academic year. The Zoom info will be released a few days before the meeting. Topics we'll cover include:
What cadets typically struggle with and resources to help
What to do if your cadet does not feel challenged enough
An overview of upcoming Parents Club events that will be fun for you and help you support your cadet
An opportunity for parents to ask questions
09|TBD "T3" Texas Tamale Tailgate - a yearly event led by the West Point Parents Club of Houston and supported by a major donation from the WPPCNTX. Held at West Point, this post-game tailgate party is open to the entire Corps of Cadets and offers them a chance to sample some Texas food and enjoy some Texas-themed hospitality. If you are at West Point on September 25th, drop by. Tickets are available at the door for parents and families (you do not need a ticket for your cadet). Cadets eat free thanks to our club's donations!

10|TBD WPPCNTX Fall Boodle Box Building Event - Cadet life can be tough, especially as the grind of the academic year sets in and the weather begins to turn cold at West Point. We'll cheer up our cadets with some treats from home.

Central Texas: time to be announced - Woodward Creative Group's building at 219 Westfield Blvd Suite 100, Temple, TX
Our club will supply large US Postal Service boxes, packing tape, pre-printed shipping labels, and we'll have t-shirts if you ordered them.
The Club will also buy lots of snacks. Families are encouraged to bring snacks for 30 cadets too so we have a big variety of items to fill these boxes. Homemade treats should be in individual plastic bags.
In addition to stuffing some boxes for the cadets, we'll also be collecting donations of $25 gift cards and $15-$20 bottles of wine for the Lone Star Military Ball. Cadets love gift cards for things they can enjoy while at West Point including Amazon, Chipotle, McDonald's, Starbucks, Subway, and Visa/Mastercard.
11|TBD The annual Dallas Help Our Heroes Luncheon. Celebrate the Army Scholarship Foundation and the goals that it’s achieved. You will also be helping fund next year's recipient winners’ scholarships. For more information [Link TBD].

11|TBD West Point Football Game: Army Beats Air Force at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. A local West Point grad & parent of a 2023 cadet owns Flatrock Smokehouse. They will host a post-game tailgate near the stadium, get your tickets [Link TBD].

12|TBD West Point Football: Army Beats Navy at Met Life Stadium - The West Point Association of Graduates has organized an Army-Navy game tailgate next to MetLife Stadium. You do not have to be a grad to attend. Registration for the tailgate will close on TBD.. Get tickets [Link TBD].

12|TBD West Point Winter Break Begins Cadets can order bus tickets until Sunday, Dec 12. Get tickets [Link TBD].
12|TBD Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl - veterans and active military can get free tickets. West Point and other service academies have played in this bowl several times in the past. Tickets are available [Link TBD] (be sure to click the tab if you are a Veteran or Active Duty to get your free tickets). Although this is the Armed Forces Bowl and it has a military theme, it does not automatically mean West Point will be playing in it - however, West Point did accept an invite for this year!
12|TBD Lone Star Military Ball A formal evening dinner & dance attended by cadets and midshipmen from all five service academies along with their dates and parents. A wonderful time to see your cadet in their full dress uniform! Army is in charge of planning this year's event and the WPPCNTX provides support to the Lone Star Military Ball organization which is a separate non-profit. This year's event will be held at the Hurst Convention Center. The event normally goes from 5 pm to midnight, so you may wish to reserve a hotel room on site.
