09|10 at noon - WPPCNTX Club lunch - this is a great time to meet other West Point parents, learn about upcoming activities, and get your questions answered about the fall semester.
10|01 "T3" Texas Tamale Tailgate - a yearly event led by the West Point Parents Club of Houston and supported by a $5,000 major donation from the WPPCNTX. Held at West Point, this post-game tailgate party is open to the entire Corps of Cadets and offers them a chance to sample some Texas food and enjoy some Texas-themed hospitality. If you are at West Point on October 1st, drop by. Tickets are available at the door for parents and families (you do not need a ticket for your cadet). Cadets eat free thanks to our club's donations!

10|29 WPPCNTX Fall Boodle Box Building Event - Cadet life can be tough, especially as the grind of the academic year sets in and the weather begins to turn cold at West Point. We'll cheer up our cadets with some treats from home.

Our club will supply large US Postal Service boxes, packing tape, and pre-printed shipping labels.
The Club will also buy lots of snacks. Families are encouraged to bring snacks for 30 cadets too so we have a big variety of items to fill these boxes. Homemade treats should be in individual plastic bags.
In addition to stuffing some boxes for the cadets, we'll also be collecting donations of $25 gift cards and $15-$20 bottles of wine for the Lone Star Military Ball. Cadets love gift cards for things they can enjoy while at West Point including Amazon, Chipotle, McDonald's, Starbucks, Subway, and Visa/Mastercard.
11|04 The annual Dallas Help Our Heroes Luncheon. Celebrate the Army Scholarship Foundation and the goals that it’s achieved. You will also be helping fund next year's recipient winners’ scholarships. For more information visit this link.
11|4 West Point Boxing vs. Air Force at Globe Life Stadium - tickets available [Link TBD]
11|5 West Point Football Game: Army Beats Air Force at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. A pre-game tailgate hosted by the West Point Society of North Texas. This 8 am - 10 am event is open to all parents & families. Tickets are available here.
11|11 West Point Veterans Day - no classes
11|23-27 - West Point Thanksgiving Leave (begins after last class/duty on Nov 22, cadets must return NLT than the evening on Nov 27. The cadet chain of command will publish exact times, but 7 pm is typical.)

12|10 West Point Football: Army Beats Navy at Met Life Stadium - The West Point Association of Graduates has organized an Army-Navy game tailgate next to Lincoln Field, Philadelphia. You do not have to be a grad to attend. Registration for the tailgate will close on TBD. Get tickets [Link TBD].
12|13-17 - West Point Term End Exams (schedule is cadet specific)
12|18 West Point Winter Break Begins Bus ticket order site [link TBD].
12|TBD Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl - veterans and active military can get free tickets. West Point and other service academies have played in this bowl several times in the past. Tickets are available [Link TBD] (be sure to click the tab if you are a Veteran or Active Duty to get your free tickets). Although this is the Armed Forces Bowl and it has a military theme, it does not automatically mean West Point will earn a spot to play.
12|30 Lone Star Military Ball A formal evening dinner & dance attended by cadets and midshipmen from all five service academies along with their dates and parents. A wonderful time to see your cadet in their full dress uniform! The WPPCNTX provides $1,000, plus volunteer and wine/gift card donation support to the Lone Star Military Ball organization which is a separate non-profit. This year's event will be held at the Hurst Convention Center. The event normally goes from 5 pm to midnight, so you may wish to reserve a hotel room on site.

03|3-12 West Point Spring Break
3|3-5 West Point Plebe Parent Weekend for the Class of 2026
03|TBD West Point Society of North Texas is hosting a Founders Day Dinner Event. On March 16, 1802 Thomas Jefferson signed the document that founded the United States Military Academy. It read, “that the said corps, when so organized, shall be stationed at West Point in the state of New York and shall constitute a military academy.” Every year West Point celebrates Founders Day with events held all over the world throughout the month of March. Parents of current cadets and grad parents are welcome to attend. There will be a Benny Havens happy hour, followed by a Founder's Day ceremony, a dinner, a guest speaker, and a concert. Ticket info is normally released a few months before the event.

04|TBD North Texas Service Academy Day This informational event will provide interested students from grades eight through twelve an opportunity to become educated regarding our nation's service academies, their requirements for admission, and the selection process.

05|TBD WPPCNTX Virtual Toast the Firsties 7:30-8:30 pm In this members-only event we'll bid farewell to our Firstie parents and provide them with an opportunity to hear from an Army Colonel and Command Sergeant Major about what life has in store for their soon-to-be Second Lieutenants. 05|TBD Carry the Load Memorial March This event brings awareness to the True Meaning of Memorial Day. Funds raised during Memorial May provide direct support for the healing of the mind, body, and soul of our nation's Military, Veterans, First Responders and their families.

06|TBD 8-10 am Break-in-My-Boots Road March This event is for 2027 and USMAPS cadet candidates, parents are welcome too (or you can join us later in the morning at the Ice Cream Social - see below). Join us for a quick lesson on how to care for our feet before we head out on a road march. Class representatives from your 50-year affiliation class USMA 1977 will be on hand to walk with you. This is an excellent way to meet your classmates and get in a good workout. The event will be held rain or shine at the Trawick Pavilion in Grapevine. and you must RSVP to WPPCNTX@gmail.com to receive the event instructions.
06|TBD 10 am - 12:30 pm WPPCNTX Ice Cream Social for 2026 & USMAPS Open to members and non-members this fun session is a chance for parents and cadet candidates to hear some final words of wisdom from USMA parents and grads, and meet their classmates. We'll even have the opportunity for cadet candidates to speak directly with current USMA cadets home on summer leave. The event will be held rain or shine at the Trawick Pavilion in Grapevine. 07|TBD Club Social Event - no formal presentations - this is purely a social event! We'll meet at a DFW location and at a Central Texas location for some food and fellowship among our parents. You can order what you'd like off the menu and introduce yourself to other parents. Suggested dress - casual! A great time to break out your West Point gear and your Texas nametag. Exact locations will be released a few days before the event.

08|TBD West Point Acceptance Day for the Class of 2027 The parade is planned for 10 am, cadets are released at different times after the parade making finding your Cadet difficult! Have them meet you at Ike's Riverside Cafe in Eisenhower Hall for Gabe's A-Day Luncheon (below).
08|TBD Gabe's A-Day Luncheon is hosted by the West Point Parents Club of North Texas and the West Point Society of North Texas. This event is open to all Texas families and there is no cost. After the parade head to Ike's Cafe in Eisenhower Hall to cool off while you wait for your cadet. When they arrive, the West Point Society will announce their name (have your cameras ready!). This is likely the first time they will publically be called "Cadet" after having been called "New Cadet" during Beast. Enjoy refreshments and sandwiches before you head out to enjoy the rest of the day with your Cadet.
