Annual "Gabe" A-Day Luncheon
Over a decade ago, Henmar "Gabe: Gabriel, LTC (RET), Infantry recognized the difficulties that families making the trip from Texas to attend A-Day would have in securing allocation for traditional tailgating during the sometimes lengthy waiting period following the parade.

From his initial observation, the idea for an annual A-Day luncheon was born. Starting the next year, Gabe was able to secure a cool, dry location, provide a light lunch, arrange for the occasional guest speaker, and create a networking opportunity with other Plebe families.

Gabe solely sponsored this event for many years. More recently, the West Point Society of North Texas (WPSNTX) assumed sponsorship of the event in honor of the tireless devotion that Gabe has shown to West Point and our Texas cadets. Gabe remains as your official host, master of ceremony and chief story teller.
